I have just returned from a vacation visiting the British town of Winchester-Hampshire County. Winchester is one of the most beautiful towns I have ever frequented. I would recommend that anyone take the time to visit if he or she possibly can. I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Well, it ended up with me going to Winchester. The inhabitants there were so kind and entirely entertaining. Many locals enjoyed sharing the antiquity of their metropolis. I did not mind this because I have always loved learning. With a population of over forty thousand individuals, I could be told all kinds of lore. The older folks were especially engaging.

The landscape in this town is so lovely that I did not want to leave. The churches caught my eye because it seemed as if God was holding Winchester in His safe hands. Winchester Cathedral is so huge it boggled my mind! It is supposed to be one of the most monumental chapels in England. It is more beautiful than I can describe in words.

I have a big fascination with castles. I do not know why but, they intrigue me. Well, Winchester Castle is in the town of Winchester. Apparently, it was built several hundred years ago. There is a menagerie inside the Great Hall which carries the history of Winchester.

Flint, which is a type of rock, was used to make the castle. This always catches my attention. I think of the amount of time a man had to put into carving out this construction. This fantastic town of Winchester in the county of Hampshire is a place to behold. I usually do not get attached to places I have visited. But, I have to agree with others who feel the same way I do, this is a definite haven for those who love building structure.
